Tallinn, July 17, 2023 – On the 25th of July, 19:00, an Android Developer of Bamboo Apps Andrey Mukomolov will present his keynote “The Car in Your Arduino” in the von Stackelberg Hotel in Tallinn as part of the monthly Devclub meetup.
Modern automotive software is tightly connected with in-vehicle hardware: ECUs, CAN-bus, etc. This raises an important question: how do you test automotive software in the absence of particular cars and devices? Andrey will propose a solution – a way to emulate data from the vehicle CAN-bus using custom apps based on the operating system FreeRTOS and the Qt framework.
The keynote will cover the following agenda:
- technologies used in modern cars;
- emulation with a custom FreeRTOS-based application;
- emulation with a custom Qt application;
- demo showcase.
